“I need my windows tinted.”
In Anderson .Paak’s newest single from his forthcoming album, he reunites with Kendrick Lamar to create another appetitive standout in his growing discography.
“TINTS” was released this week, after a new collaboration between .Paak and Lamar was teased in September. The song brandishes synths in a dance track that serves as a modern take on ‘70s Funk.
The rhythm-driven track benefits from a cold and stylish verse from Kendrick Lamar, reflecting the level of quality that the rapper has become known for.
.Paak, on the other hand, continues his impressive work as a musical chameleon. Even still, thanks to his distinct voice and undeniable raw talent, his music remains instantly recognisable as his own.
The song marks a new single from Oxnard, an album yet to get a formal release date. However, Paak’s team seem to be indicating that the release of Oxnard might not be that far away. His last full-length release under his own name was Malibu, which was released in early 2016 to widespread critical acclaim.
